Karate Kid: California Maki and Tuna Sashimi

California Maki and Tuna Sashimi are my favourite Japanese foods. I’m glad that Karate Kid is serving a combo meal that includes these two dishes. There is nothing new for the Tuna Sashimi, raw fresh Tuna meat to be dipped in soy sauce with wasabi. The California Maki that Karate Kid serves is different from other Makis that I’ve tasted. They serve it with mayonnaise on top. It really compliments the sweet taste of mango and the sour taste of the Japanese rice. Mayonnaise plus California Maki equals best California Maki I’ve tasted so far.

Until the next foodtrip. Keep on eating.

the great thing about the Pinoy tastebuds is that we have the uncanny ability to merge local flavors to more international ones, in the process, creating an altogether new gastronomic delight.

Are there other aspects of being Pinoy that you absolutely *heart*? food, restos, treats, and drinks that is worth highlighting? if there are, please do consider joining MISSION: I *HEART* THE PHILIPPINES. It's a blogoversary contest to celebrate my blog's 4th year online while at the same time celebrating the best of being Pinoy =]

Details about the Mission can be found here http://elsalvadordelmundo.blogspot.com/2010/09/fourth-blog-anniversary-contest-mission.html

Adgitize ads and EC credits are up for grabs =]

@josie - isipin mo na lang na naluluto din siya dahil sa toyo at wasabi :)

I like Karate Kid's version of California Maki than in Tokyo Tokyo. I find it more flavorful.
