Bellevue Hotel's Cafe de Aisle

It’s been a while since I last posted, so this time I’ll make sure that somehow you will enjoy this entry. Last Christmas, my wife won a free accommodation at Bellevue Hotel inclusive of a buffet breakfast for two. She won this from a radio promo of Jam 88.3. Last October 10, (10-10-10) we used this free accommodation to celebrate our anniversary. Today, I’ll be sharing our food experience at Bellevue Hotel.

We checked in around 6 PM and have our dinner at Cafe de Aisle. We ordered her favourite Chicken Cordon Bleu, a pasta dish called Chef’s Special and a Platter of Fruits.

While waiting for our order, we are served some bread and butter.
They also serve us a very nice Mongo Soup that is very rich and creamy.
Now for the main course, the Chicken Cordon Bleu is served with steam vegetables and fries. What I like in this dish is that the chicken is still moist and juicy in the inside. And also, take note that the serving in this restaurant is a little bigger than usual.
A closer look of the steam vegetables from Chicken Cordon Bleu.
Here is the Chef’s Special, a very yummy and creamy pasta dish. It’s like Carbonara but a little bit different.
And lastly the Platter of Fruits, fresh fruit to keep our body healthy.
My wife love the Sorbet included in the platter
After the dinner, we went back to our room and enjoy the night. Fastforward...

Here is the moment I’ve been waiting for, the breakfast buffet. This is our first time to eat in a buffet together and we are really excited seeing the wide variety of dishes. I will not go into details and will just show you our plates. This is a very unforgettable eating experience for us.

Round 1 - Bacon, Pan Cake, some Bread, Cold Cuts, Tocino and Ham.

Round 2 - Fresh Salad, Danggit, Hash Brown and Grilled Ham.

Round 3 - Scrambled Egg, Cheese Muffin, Sushi and Tuna in Teriyaki Sauce.
Round 4 - More Bacon, some Cold Cuts, Longganisa,Siomai and some Pastries.
Round 5 - Fruits and Yogurt for dessert.
Until the next foodtrip. Keep on eating.

Pizza Hut: Lechon Pizza

I received an email from Pizza Hut about their new Lechon Pizza. This is the first time I heard that Lechon is used as pizza toppings. This is very Pinoy in my opinion. We already had a Sisig Pizza from Greenwhich and a Bicol Express Pizza from 3M Pizza. Pinoy Pizza is very exciting to taste because it makes me wonder if our Filipino dishes suits to be a pizza topping.
From the poster, it says that this pizza has roasted pork and “crispy balat ng lechon” on mozzarella cheese and special lechon sauce. Now it makes me wonder how lechon sauce will taste with mozzarella cheese. This is very exciting.

Starting November 23, 2010, this very Pinoy Pizza will be available in every Pizza Hut outlet. Make sure to try this one and check on your cholesterols. Hehehe

Until the next foodtrip. Keep on eating.

Andok's: Longganisa Meal

Longganisa Meal is one of my favorite breakfasts from Andok’s. The best thing in Andok’s is that I can order their breakfast meal anytime of the day. Their Longganisa Meal has the closest taste with Jolibee’s Longganisa Meal only this is much cheaper and the egg is sunny side up.

Yellow Cab Pizza Co.: Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta

Remember the time my wife and I ate Dear Darla at Yellow Cab? We also ordered Yellow Cab’s Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta. And as of the moment, this is definitely my favorite pasta ever.
Yellow Cab Pizza Co. Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta
Charlie Chan has chicken strips, shitake mushrooms and roasted peanuts sautéed in a spicy oriental sauce. The peanut is a little bit new to me. I haven’t tried any pasta that has peanuts on it until Charlie Chan. But what I really like with this pasta is the spiciness. I’m not really into spicy dishes but this one is blended with sweet sauce that’s why I liked it. The serving is good for two persons, but my wife did not like it, so most of the serving was finished by me. :)

Until the next foodtrip. Keep on eating.

Bibingkinitan: Mini Bibingka

Bibingka is a very popular food here in the Philippines, especially during Christmas season. This is the perfect breakfast after attending the Simbang Gabi together with Puto Bumbong.
Bibingkinitan Mini Bibingka
Nowadays, you don’t need to wait until Christmas season to taste this delightful treat. Bibingka is now available in malls. One of my favorite bibingka is from Bibingkinitan.

Bibingkinitan offers mini-sized bibingka. These bibingkas are small but very tasteful. Complete ingredients like the regular sized bibingkas less the grated coconut. You can still have the cheese and salted egg toppings in this mini-sized bibingka. This is served hot with butter spread on top and sprinkled with sugar. What I really like with this bibingka is that it is very soft and flavorful and yes since they are small it is easy to carry around and snack it anywhere.
Bibingkinitan Box of 6
At 120 Php per box of 6, this is a perfect pasalubong to your family. You just need to heat it before serving.

Until the next foodtrip. Keep on eating.

McDonalds Twister Fries is Back

Yes, you read it right McDonald’s Twister Fries is back.

When was the last time Twister Fries are available at McDonald’s, if memory serves me right, Twister Fries is available when the movie Ice Age 3 was released here in the Philippines last year. That’s a long time ago.

So what are you waiting for guys, here is another chance to grab those twisted potato. Perfectly seasoned and fried until crispy and golden brown. Don’t dare miss this chance because Twister Fries is not here to stay, McDonald’s is offering them for a limited time only.

I already got a chance to grab this yesterday with my wife at McDonald’s Baclaran. It still got its delicious potato flavors, but I noticed that the size shrunk a bit. Nonetheless Twister Fries are here and it’s so delicious.

Until the next foodtrip. Keep on eating.
